Chained Beasts Healing and Three Launch Afflictions

At a glance

Healing between rounds in the launch preview requires accepting an affliction as a trade-off. Annoying, Impulsive and Infatuated are three announced additions for the full game; they are not in the demo.

Full-game launch preview, October 10, 2026. These three afflictions are not in the demo.

Healing comes with a trade-off

The October 10 launch preview describes healing between rounds as a choice that requires accepting an affliction. The three additions below belong to the full-game preview, rather than the public demo.

Three announced afflictions

Affliction Announced effect
Annoying Allies often attack when you get too close to them.
Impulsive Forces a new skill to be locked in every second level and an item to be bought at every shop.
Infatuated Makes the camera follow a particular ally. Damage increases by 10% while that ally is looking at you.

Other named afflictions

The same preview names Separation Anxiety, Bad Vibrations, Butterfingers, Narcissism, Gambling Problem and Nerve Damage without defining their effects. Their names alone should not be used to choose a healing option.

For shared-screen play, some visual afflictions are excluded. A complete list is not given, and this rule does not establish which of the three new additions are excluded.

Surgery is a separate choice

The Surgeon preview shows a different menu of treatments and body upgrades in an early full-game build. Its displayed costs should not be treated as a universal healing formula.
